SCUC Trustees approve 2019-2020 Budget and Tax Rate
Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City ISD Board Trustees unanimously approved the 2019-2020 tax rate and budget at a called meeting on August 29th, which includes significant compensation raises for teachers and staff as well as tax relief.
The Maintenance & Operations (M&O) tax rate was set at $0.97 per $100 valuation, a seven-cent decrease from last year, due to the compressed tax rate as part of House Bill 3. The Interest & Sinking (I&S) rate, used to pay for bonded indebtedness on construction or equipment, or both, remains at $0.45 per $100 valuation.

General Operating Budget: $134,260,190
Food Service: $7,013,693
Debt Service: $29,079,238
