Clemens, Corbett food drive assists community

PIE (Positively Influencing Everyone) Club members from Clemens and Corbett volunteered in Positively Impacting Communities (PIC) Spring Food Giveaway March 5th at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Schertz.

Students unpacked, sorted and assembled packages of up to 50 pounds of produce and meat for 200 families from Rose Garden Elementary School, Wilder Intermediate School, Corbett Junior High School and Samuel Clemens High School.

PIC and PIE Club has hosted the event every December and spring season since 2015 as school breaks begin - each time giving away over 10,000 pounds of fresh produce and meat.

Student volunteers began organizing the packages at 4:00 p.m. and families began arriving at 5:00 p.m.
