Isabel Cabrera, seventh grade student at Corbett Junior High, has volunteered her time and efforts during the pandemic shutdown to assist others. She has spent many of her Saturdays to volunteer at the San Antonio Food Bank food drive in downtown San Antonio.
Cabrera has assisted in loading boxes of food for families whose primary source of nourishment comes from donations from the Food Bank. Her mother, Ashley Dailey, in an email sent to Rashad Ray, Corbett principal, credited the leadership examples she receives at the school and other SCUC ISD campuses she has attended in the past. “She is a selfless young woman and would give to someone before thinking of herself,” Dailey wrote in her email. “Thank you for what you do for her and all the students. You are truly great.”
