SCUC ISD observes National School Lunch Week

The second week in October is designated as National School Lunch Week (NSLW). President John F. Kennedy created the observance in 1962 to promote the importance of a healthy lunch in a child’s life and its positive impact inside and outside of the classroom.

SCUC ISD would like to recognize the members of its Child Nutrition staff, who work tirelessly to bring nutritious meals, and who have stepped up during the COVID-19 pandemic to ensure schoolchildren in the area are fed, whether they partake in on-campus instruction or remote instruction.

We thank the members of the Schertz Elementary School Child Nutrition staff, who graciously allowed us to photograph them as they were preparing meals for the day: Tyler Weresch, Lisa Henderson, Robin Ruffo, Elena Bolus and Delma Villarreal.
