Campus recognitions spurring greater attendance

There’s a little added incentive for SCUC ISD campuses to have good attendance, whether it be through SCUC On Campus instruction or SCUC @ Home (remote learning). Ryan Clark, district Safe School & Truancy Officer, has begun recognizing campuses with the best monthly attendance percentages in their respective category with traveling trophies.

Mr. Clark paid a visit to Byron P. Steele High School, Ray D. Corbett Junior High School, Barbara C. Jordan Intermediate School, and Norma J. Paschal Elementary School, and presented each principal with the hardware to be displayed this month.

Steele was tops among high schools at 94.5% while Corbett was first in the junior high division at 97.0%. Jordan captured the intermediate category at 96.2%, and Paschal was first among the district’s eight elementary schools at 96.9%.

SCUC Belief Statement one: “We believe all students have the capacity to learn and excel.”
