Wiederstein ES fourth grader donates My Free Library to school
Kenzie Pointer, a fourth grade student at Wiederstein Elementary School, donated a My Little Free Library to her campus as part of Girl Scout Project. Her efforts were a couple of years in the making. Kenzie raised money for the project by selling Girl Scout cookies, candies and nuts along with magazine subscriptions to finance the project. She also researched community needs, the type of library kit, best location and which books to add as part of the endeavor.
This project has encouraged Kenzie to discover new skills and witness the ripple effect of a small act of kindness and generosity transforming into a major impact. Kenzie will earn the Girl Scout Bronze Award for her efforts. Her My Little Free Library was placed next to the other My Little Free Library located at Wiederstein.
