Board Trustees encourage protective behavior to slow COVID-19
The Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City ISD Board of Trustees issued a statement Wednesday strongly recommending the proper use of face masks and other protective hygienic measures for students and staff. The Board did not require the wearing of face coverings in SCUC ISD schools.
The statement came at the end of a more than four-hour called school board meeting held in the auditorium at Samuel Clemens High School. During the meeting, the Board reviewed up-to-date district data on the spread of COVID, results from recent parent and staff surveys, and heard testimony from 76 parents and community members.
