Kimberly McGrew is a little sore, but enjoying the opportunity to show off her New York City Marathon medal to her P.E. students at Paschal Elementary School. She took part in the 26.2 mile race on November 4th, running through the five boroughs of the Big Apple in a time of 5 hours and 30 seconds.

She answered two questions, including her philosophy on why she runs, to which she answered in part, “...to encourage her students to participate as well.”
Now in her tenth year at SCUC ISD, McGrew plans to catch her breath for only a moment, as she intends to run in The Chosen, a half-marathon in New Braunfels, scheduled for November 18th. She also recently enjoyed partook in the Junior Achievement Fiscally Fit 5k with her three children in October.
