January is School Board Recognition Month

January is School Board Recognition Month, and the Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City Independent School District is joining in the celebration. Working as a Team of Eight, the SCUC ISD Trustees serve a role that has become increasingly complex, making decisions aimed at ensuring that every child at SCUC ISD has a chance to graduate as College Ready and/or Career Ready and/or Military Ready.

To do that, SCUC ISD Trustees oversee a budget of over $158 million, keep up with ever-changing education laws and mandates, and spend countless hours on professional learning and state-mandated training.

In a time of uncertain state and federal funding, these local leaders work together to give every child at SCUC ISD an opportunity for access to high quality teaching and learning.

The SCUC ISD Board Trustees are:

Mr. Robert Westbrook, President

Mrs. Amy Driesbach, Vice-President

Mr. Jerry Perkins, Secretary

Mr. Ed Finley, Assistant Secretary

Mr. Gary Inmon, Trustee

Mr. David Pevoto, Trustee

Mrs. Letticia Sever, Trustee
