Rhonda Jungmichel named Principal at Cibolo Valley ES

Rhonda Jungmichel has been appointed principal at Cibolo Valley Elementary School. SCUC ISD Board Trustees approved the recommendation at the regular meeting held on May 21st. Mrs. Jungmichel had been serving as the interim principal at Cibolo Valley ES since January.

“I am incredibly honored and humbled to serve in this role at such an extraordinary school,” said Jungmichel. “As a struggling student, at a young age, I knew I wanted to be an educator so I could make every kid feel special regardless of their abilities and struggles. I still carry that same passion with me and could not be more blessed for this opportunity.”

Mrs. Jungmichel has been an SCUC ISD employee since 2005, serving as a first grade teacher, Special Education teacher, ARD Facilitator, Assistant Principal and Interim Principal.  She began her career with teaching stints at Marlin ISD and Floresville ISD, before coming to SCUC ISD.

Jungmichel graduated from McPherson College (Kansas) with a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education and Sociology. She later attained her Master’s Degree in Special Education from Texas State University, and later earned another Master’s Degree, this one in Educational Leadership, from Trinity University.

As the current school year draws to a close, Jungmichel is already enthusiastic about the 2019-2020 session. “I am looking forward to it, serving Every Kid, Every Day,” she says. “Our school will be a place where students achieve greatness and build character.”
