CTE ceremony celebrates new career path for Clemens HS students
Four Samuel Clemens High School students took part in a life-changing moment, signing letters of intent to begin their career tracks as part of the school’s “Career and Technical Education Signing Day” on May 24th. The event was held at the foot of the Performing Arts/Event Center staircase.
Coby Slate signed on to begin working with Cox Tile immediately upon graduation in June. He interviewed with the company after meeting them during the Clemens Future Ready Senior Day Career Fair. Christian Zarnke, business manager for Cox Tile, was on hand to congratulate Slate.
Meanwhile, Xavier Alex, senior; Shadane Brown, junior; and Nadia Brown, junior; all signed on to work with Joeris Contractors as paid interns this summer.
