Students desiring to be considered for the Scholarship must attend at least two Schertz City Council meetings during the months of March through April 2021, prior to submitting the application described below. Regular City Council meetings are held the 1st, 2nd and 4th Tuesday’s of the month, beginning at 6 pm. Students must sign in with the City Secretary at the meetings they’re attending. At the meetings, students should follow the agenda from beginning to end and observe the elected officials, City staff, residents and other persons at the meetings. Please check the city website www.schertz.com for any changes to the City Council meeting schedule. UPDATE: Due to COVID-19, students are encouraged to watch a City Council meeting on the City’s YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/CityofSchertz. Completed applications must be received in the City Manager’s Office (Bldg. No.2) by 5:00 p.m. Friday, April 30, 2021. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
